Ask ChatGPT to build a property-shortlist page

Create a saved, previewable shortlist page with source-backed property details and no private buyer information.

What you need

  • Two or three authorized listing IDs and your intended page audience.
  • An existing page template, or a brief for a new reusable layout.
  • Approved public agent details and permission to display the selected media.

A prompt you can use

Replace the bracketed placeholders with your own details. If you do not have an ID, ask the AI to find the item you can access by name, address or MLS number. Check the match before using its returned ID.

If I have not provided an ID, first discover the resources I can access by name, address or MLS number as supported for that resource, show the matches, and ask me to confirm before using the returned ID. Create a draft property-shortlist page for [LISTING_IDS]. Read the available marketing-page templates and selected template contract. Use source bindings for address, price, status and photos; put my introduction only in editable text fields. Keep each property’s identity separate. Include viewing requests only where supported and allowed for that listing. Save the draft and return the page ID, revision and actual preview. Do not publish, submit a lead or send the link. If the layout needs a new template, explain that step first.

How the work flows

  1. Read template
  2. Select authorized sources
  3. Map facts + editable copy
  4. Save page draft
  5. Preview and approve publication separately

This is the intended sequence, not a saved or executed workflow. Ask the AI to implement it against the currently supported tools and report the actual state.

  1. 01

Use a template or create one deliberately

A page instance accepts its declared fields, not arbitrary HTML/CSS. If the brief needs a new layout, ask the AI to read the marketing-template guide and save a reusable template first. Saving a template does not create or publish a page.

  2. 02

Keep facts bound to their sources

Use listing source bindings rather than copying prices into free text. Keep photos within the corresponding listing. The current template contract supports up to 12 MLS items per source slot, but the selected template may impose a smaller limit.

  3. 03

    Inspect the saved preview

Check mobile layout, contact details, property ordering and whether viewing requests are correctly conditional. The draft preview disables submission; do not create a real lead to test its appearance. Review the exact revision before separately requesting publication.

Verify the result

  • Each displayed property and photo belongs to the selected listing.
  • A real saved preview is returned, not a fabricated public URL.
  • No buyer budget, identity or private preferences appear in public copy.

When something fails

If a field is unavailable, omit it or find a supported source; do not invent bindings such as school ratings. On a revision conflict, reread the page and preserve unrelated changes.
